Carter BloodCare offers tours, scheduled in advance, for schools, civic and community groups. The tours are conducted during business hours, Monday through Friday. Priority is given to those organizations that conduct blood drives with Carter BloodCare or who are interested in doing so.

Tour participants must be at least 15 years old; groups are limited to 40 at one time; and the optimal time for touring is between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. To request a tour contact your blood drive consultant, or contact Public Relations at (817) 412-5314.

Carter BloodCare experts can speak to your professional or civic group. Topics include, but are not limited to: the blood center’s role in the community health care system; what happens to your blood after it is collected; and why should I consider donating blood in my community. To request a speaker, contact Public Relations at (817) 412-5314.

Denton Center helps donors stay 'in the loop' on daily need for lifesaving blood

Carter BloodCare’s Tammie Mann has a helpful reminder for Denton residents who want to donate blood to save local lives:

“You don’t have to wait for a mobile blood drive to come to your neighborhood or campus. You have a dedicated donor center right here in town and we’d love to see everyone come here to donate,” she said.

As site supervisor for Carter BloodCare’s Denton Donor Center, Mann is eager to welcome visitors to the location directly across from Golden Triangle Mall on Loop 288 near I-35E.

Donating in Rockwall is a family affair

Starting a little over a year ago, mobile drives out in the community were no longer the only way to donate blood in Rockwall. In June 2020, Carter BloodCare opened a donor center in this thriving city east of Dallas. The Rockwall center had two inaugural milestones: it was Carter BloodCare’s first to begin operations in the middle of a pandemic and the first to be designed specifically with social distancing in mind.

Rosedale Donor Center in Fort Worth: Delivering great experiences that stick well

Fortunately, their arms are in good hands with the Rosedale team.

Preston Valley Donor Center Team Keeps North Dallas Collections Flowing Smoothly

As the saying goes, one key to success is location, location, location, and Carter BloodCare’s Preston Valley Donor Center is in prime territory.

On the busy southwest corner of I-635/LBJ Freeway and Preston Road in North Dallas, the Preston Valley location typically processes 20 to 30 donors a day, with a weekly average of more than 120 donors.

The more important drivers of success, however, are the people who power the donor center.
