When it comes to blood transfusion, it takes all types
WINNSBORO, Texas (September 12, 2017) – Carter BloodCare has a mission that blood will be on the shelves for any patient that requires a transfusion, right when moments matter, right here in our community. Because of this, many volunteer blood donors give about an hour of their time and what some would call a priceless pint of blood, as regularly as they can. Some donate as often as every two months, since 56 days is the required minimum waiting period between whole blood donations.

Blood donors wanted: give hope to hospital patients when summer supply dips
LEESBURG, Texas (August 24, 2017) – Of all seasons, summer tends to be the one when blood donations take a dip, and not the kind that cools you off when temperatures are in the triple digits. Summer is the single most difficult season for Carter BloodCare to recruit blood donors. And the blood transfusions required for many patients cannot wait until temperatures come down.
